Terms of use

NKU Preceptors is an independent placement service. It isn't part of, run by or endorsed by Northern Kentucky University; the university's name tells you whose students we serve.

• We search for preceptors and sites that match your program, state and timing, and help you prepare the Medatrax self-placement request and preceptor paperwork.
• NKU approves preceptors and sites; we don't.
• We can't promise that a preceptor will accept, that a site will sign by a date, or that NKU will approve a placement.
• We don't complete coursework, sign documents for anyone, or log hours for you.

• Give us accurate details about your program, license and state.
• Follow NKU's rules, your course requirements and your site's policies.
• Keep NKU's compliance items in Sentry and PreCheck current.

If you go ahead, you receive a written quote and terms before you commit. Those terms govern payment, changes and refunds, including any current offer. Fees a site or preceptor charges under NKU's own rules are separate from ours.

Our guides describe NKU's clinical process as NKU publishes it, checked on the date shown. NKU can change its rules; NKU's School of Nursing and your Canvas clinical shells have the final word.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, including a delayed term or graduation, arising from a site's, preceptor's or school's decision. Consumer rights that can't be limited are unaffected.

We may update these terms; the version on this page applies from the day it's posted.
